Update

I can not believe Taylor will be 2 weeks old on Wednesday and will have her first Drs appt. I am excited to see what she will weigh cause she has grown so much already. Lexi has finally warmed up to Taylor. I would say it took 4 to 5 days for her to realize she wasnt going anywhere and that she was a new addition to the family. She will run to the room with me when she hears her crying and loves to pat her back with me while I burp her. I just have to keep Lexi from poking her in the eyes cause she is in that stage where she likes to point at your eyes, nose, ears, and mouth. But so far we havent had any major problems.

Taylor is such a great baby. She only wakes up at night to eat and then she most of the time will just go right back to sleep. We have been working hard at keeping her in her bassinet and the last several nights she has slept the whole time in there. So we are getting 3-4 hour increments of sleep. I dont feel sleep deprived at all. She is such a cutie and we love her so much.

My mom and I have been sewing away with the sewing machine Scott got me for Mothers Day. We have made burp cloths, shoes, hooded towels, nursing cover, binky clips and a car seat canopy. We still have so much more to make too. I will put up pics of all the stuff when I get done with some more stuff. Now I just need to learn how to sew. That is our project this week.

Can I tell you how nice it is not to be pregnant anymore!!!! Its so nice not to have to go to the bathroom every 15 mins too. I have pretty much lost all the baby belly already but I definitely need to hit the gym. I am excited in a few months to buy some new clothes. Its been awhile with being pregnant back to back like I was to get to buy myself some things.

Scott has been great with the kids. He has really helped with Lexi. She has been a little needy and he will just take her to the park, on a walk, or just play with her while I take care of Taylor. In the middle of the night if Taylor cries he will just scoop her up and quiet her down. He is such a great dad.

My mom is still here for a little over a week so reality still hasnt set in yet. I need to get a schedule down so when I am on my own I will be able to handle it. We went out shopping on Friday and it is so tough with 2 little ones. Lexi still isnt old enough to walk around by herself yet so Im sure I will be spending a lot of days at home till she is a little older. She just loves playing on our balcony so we are going to deck that out so she feels like she is outside and not cooped up inside.

Its so quiet right now. Scott, my mom, Heather, and Lexi went to church and I am here all alone with Taylor and she is sleeping away. Its weird. But its nice just to relax. I should be showering or taking a nap. I will probably go do that right now.

Here is such a cute video of Taylor and Lexi. Lexi wouldnt stop kissing and hugging Taylor. It really was a tender moment cause it shows how much Lexi has warmed up to her sister and tells me that things are going to be OK!
