My Life Thus Far

I am able to update my blog right now because both of the kiddos are sleeping. They actually do sleep at the same time quite frequently so it is nice. I can not believe Taylor will be a month old on Saturday. Where did the time go. Its nice to be out of the brand new phase and to have adjusted to everything.

Before I forget I never posted how Taylor's 2 week appt went. She didnt get any shots but they pricked her heel to get blood for a newborn screening test. It is a lot easier emotionally this time around. I wasnt affected by it like with Lexi. The Dr said she is doing great and was happy with her weight gain.

Her stats at 2 weeks were:

Weight: 6 lbs 18 oz 10%
Height: 20.5 inches 75%
Head: No idea and I dont want to go get the paper.

Tall and skinny just like Lexi.

I feel like I have adjusted to 2 kids pretty well. It is actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. Its kinda like you already have a kid and one more is not a big deal, just same old stuff. Taylor is such a good baby she still just sleeps a lot of the day. For a few weeks we were having a hard time getting her to stay asleep in the bassinet at night but the last few days have been great. I still dont feel sleep deprived at all. Lexi loves Taylor and just kisses her all the time and when she cries she runs to our room and bangs on the door to try and get in to see whats wrong. She also likes to try to put her binky in when she is crying. I cant wait for them to be able to play together. The hardest part is living on the 3rd floor of our condo building. I carry Lexi in one arm, Taylor's car seat in the other and all the other bags somewhere in between. It hasnt been to bad. I have already adventured out on my own with the 2 girls. This is something I was dreading because I didnt know how I would put them both in the shopping cart and get around. I went to Target and Old Navy a few days ago and I just made it work. Its nice to have gotten the first time out and about by myself out of the way. We are still in the market for a double stroller but cant decide on what kind to get.

As far as I am concerned I feel great. Its still hard to believe I am a Mom and a Mom to 2 kids. Its overwhelming sometimes but I wouldnt trade my 2 little girls for anything. Its a little harder to keep up with the house work but it gives you some satisfaction knowing that the house is clean and the laundry is done. I cant wait to start working out again. I am just gonna wait till my 6 week appt to start. Not sure how it is gonna work but we will try to get a schedule going. Its really nice to be able to fit in my jeans again. 2nd time around is a lot like the first for me I may weigh the same as when I started but your body just isnt the same anymore. :)

Scott is out of town for work today thru Sunday so I am on my own the next 5 days. My friend Celeste is coming over today and tomorrow after work to help me and my sister Heather is coming down from Idaho over the weekend to help. It will be tough but with my help I will survive till Scott gets back.

This past week on the 10th was Scott and I's 5th anniversary which we both completely forgot about. I know thats terrible. The guy usually forgets but we both forgot this time. We havent celebrated yet but Im sure we will just go to a dinner and a movie. We did plan on going to Hawaii for our 5th but Taylor put a damp in that plan. I cant believe its been 5 years already. I am so happy with where we our in our lives.

Well I hear Lexi crying so sorry for the long post but I have to cut it short, duty calls. :)
