Pleasant Surprise...

I know I have been very bad about blogging. It is a lot to keep up with and there is that pressure to update your blog everyday. The past few weeks I havent felt very much like it. I will give you a quick run down of what has been going on with us.

Lexi is now 9 months old and every where. She is trying to walk and eating real food. She was a Lady Bug for her first Halloween and now owns 4 pair of real shoes. She has finally started holding her own bottle and loves talking on the phone to people.

Scott has been traveling a lot for work so Lexi and I are alone for about 2 out of the 4 weekends in the month. It is starting to slow down for him until January then thats where the madness will start again. He has since discovered that he likes to go to movies by himself. I said I dont mind as long as he doesnt see a movie that I want to see. The UV basketball games have started up again and we love going to those. Also I have discovered one thing about myself, I am terrible at laundry. I have shrunk almost everyone of Scotts favorite shirts. So we have been trying to build his wardrobe back up. Opps!! Lexi is pretty much an alarm clock every morning at 7am so Scott will go get her and she snuggles in his arms and goes back to sleep.

As for me I havent been up to much just the usual staying at home, playing with Lexi, and watching a lot of tv. I cant believe I am coming up on a year of not working. This time has gone by so fast. I have been really into photography and trying to get something started up with that. Check out my blog and let me know what you think. audreylaynephotography.blogspot.com I realize in Utah there are a lot of people trying to do this but I have just found a love for it. I am planning on taking some courses to try and learn everything I can about it. I love practicing on Lexi and she has her own blog (lifeandtimesoflexi.blogspot.com) that is usually updated almost everyday with pictures. But lately I have been a little out of it.

As far as our family goes, I will get to the real reason I am writing this post. There will be a new little guy or girl joining our family in June. I am 12 weeks along and the baby is due June 1st. I must admit in the beginning I had a real hard time learning this news. I thought no way can this be happening again so soon, am I ready for this, I just had a baby, will I have enough time with Lexi and will she even know what a baby is when they are born ???? Just all these thoughts went through my head. It has taken me a little bit to come to terms with what is happening. After my first Drs appt and getting to see the little kiddo all your thoughts change. I am still really nervous about this new journey in our life. I know it will be a little overwhelming at first but it will get better. Scott is really excited about Lexi having a friend and I hope they will be close. This pregnancy is different from the other in the way that I have been through this before. Its not the blind leading the blind I know what to expect and its just another day in the neighborhood well except for the morning sickness. I was really sick with Lexi but I am not as sick with this one. I have still been throwing up and lacking energy but I am a lot better than last time. I am almost out of the first trimester so hopefully it will go away. But we are very excited for this little guy or girl to come into our family. This was a very pleasant, UNEXPECTED surprise.

Well now that I have written this long novel hopefully that will last everyone until I feel good enough to update more frequently.
