Labor Day Fun

Labor Day was pretty fun. I wont be writing much as pictures are worth a thousand words so there will be a lot of them. Jon and Celeste joined us for the holiday. We started out up the canyon with Subway sandwiches. It was such a beautiful day, great weather.

Next we went to Jon's parents house to play crochet. I have not played crochet in so long, maybe since I was a little girl at my Granny's house. It was really fun. Scott and Jon won both times we played. Lexi was such a good girl and just played on a blanket in the shade the whole time.

After that I wanted to take some pictures in Jon's parents backyard. It is very pretty. I am glad Celeste knows how to use my camera so she gets all the credit for our cute family pics and Jon gets all the credit for making Lexi smile.


Later on in the day we headed up the canyon again for a campfire and a cookout. Scott's parents graciously watched Lexi so we could enjoy our night. It was a good time. We roasted hot dogs and had some smores.

The scenery from our site was gorgeous.

Scott and Jon always have a nifty trick for keeping our drinks cold. Put the drinks in a plastic bag and stick them in the river. This never fails to keep them cold.


Thanks to my Eagle Scout husband, Scott, for making the fire cause Life Scouts arent certified to make fires. Just kidding Jon.

Overall we had a great day and a great time hanging out with our good friends.
