6 month checkup

Lexi went to the Dr. today for her 6 month checkup (more like 6 1/2). She was such a good girl even with her shots. She didnt have to get as many shots today because they finally got a combination shot, 3 in 1, but I added the flu shot to the list so there was a total of 3 shots and an oral medicine. She cried when she got them but stopped pretty much right away after. The Dr and nurses could not believe how advanced she is. They ask a series of developmental questions at the beginning and one was "is she starting to sit up?" I responded with she has been sitting up for almost 2 months now, she is crawling, and walking around in her walker. They just couldnt believe that. I think I have a smart one on my hands. Once again she is night and day in the height and weight catergory. Her stats are:

Weight: 14 lbs 10%

Height: 26 1/2 ins 75%

Head: 42 cm 25%

Definitely a tall and skinny little girl. Dr. says its genetics. :)

I cant believe how she is growing so much. Just in the last few weeks she has become a different baby. She is crawling, sits her self back upright from crawling position, walking around in her walker, pulling up in her crib and on the furniture, trying to say a few words (her favorites are HI and DA, DA), such a good sitter, plays and entertains herself (which I can not tell you how excited I was for this), loves her veggies and fruits, and sleeps thru the night most of the time. She is such a happy baby and so full of life. This has definitely been the funnest age yet and Im sure it will only get better.

Since she has been pulling up in her crib Scott and I had to lower her crib down to the next setting. Sometimes when she wakes up in the night around 5 or 6 am we will go in there and she will be standing up or sitting crying. I didnt want to leave her in there till we lower the crib because I didnt want her to fall but last night since it was lowered we let her scream it out. Took her 30 mins of crying but she eventually went back to sleep.

She is so much fun and I know her dad loves her very much. Scott has been great with Lexi. He loves playing with her and giving her her bath at night. I couldnt ask for a better father except when he asks me to help him change the poopy diapers. :) She doesnt go to the Dr for another 3 months so it will be interesting to see how she has changed next time.

In other news there inst a whole lot going on with us right now. Owlz are out of town for the next week so we have just been hanging out with Jon and Celeste, playing a little disc golf, and watching movies out of the redbox. In about 2 weeks the fun starts. Scott is going to be out of town for business for almost 2 weeks. He will be going to Phoenix, home for a few days, then out to Minnesota for a long trip. Lately I have figured I dont have a job keeping me here so why not while Scott is gone for so long Lexi and I can go visit my family in Florida. So for the 4th time since Lexi has been born we are taking a trip to FL, Sept 10th. I am so very fortunate to be able to get down there as much as I do considering I never know the next time I will be able to make it down there. Luckily Scott works his tail off and racks up lots and lots of sky miles which makes it very affordable for us to go, pretty much next to nothing. Hopefully it wont be as hot as it was last time. Good thing I get to go so close together cause my Dad needs help finishing projects we didnt get to finish last time I was there. I am a slave driver (I can see my Dad shaking his head in agreement right now). Well I need to go be productive Lexi just woke up from her nap and she needs some Peas and Carrots. I will leave you with this cute picture I got of her in her crib.
