New Car

Our 97 Ford Taurus (R.I.P) finally died a couple weeks ago. It had a good run. It lasted Scott 6 years, 150,000 miles, and many road trips. The "Family Man" is going to be donated to the kidney foundation because it is worth absolutely nothing so it is just easier to have it towed out and take the tax write off.

Now came the fun, stressful, and annoying next step, looking for a new car. It stinks because who can really go out and buy the exact car that they want, with the exact miles, and the right year. It always seems like you have to settle with an OK car but not the one you really wanted. Also how annoying can used car salesman be. Scott and I spent a lot of time looking online before we went out looking just so we didn't have to be jerked around by them. First of all we couldn't decide who's car it was going to be, mine or Scott's. We have an Xterra, which I love, but it is a little hard to put the car seat up in the middle of the seat. So I was determined to find a car that I liked but I am super picky and can never make up my mind so we decided I would stick with the SUV. It turns out we found a nice 04 Mazda 6 with decent miles and a sporty look on KSL, for sale by owner. We checked it out and Scott loved it. He secretly wanted a car like this all along.

Today we get to go pick up the car. It will be nice not to have to be cooped up inside anymore because I have a car to go places and Scott has a car to zip back and forth to work in. We hope this car will last us the next 6 years then we will get to buy the car we really want and I will get to pick it out!!!!!
