Scott Meets Ronnie Price

If you dont know who Ronnie Price is, he is the back up point guard for the Utah Jazz and a Utah Valley University alumni. Scott has loved watching Ronnie play ever since he was at UV and now loves watching him play for the Jazz. Scott even had a custom Ronnie Price Utah Valley jersey made for one of his birthday presents. We attended one of the Jazz games recently and Scott went down low while they were warming up and Ronnie spotted him in his college jersey and yelled out to Scott, "I like that! I like that alot!!!"

Just yesterday Utah Valley inducted Ronnie Price into their sports Hall of Fame. They had an unveiling ceremony with him and several Utah Jazz coaches and players attending, Jerry Sloan, Deron Williams, Kyle Korver, Assist. Coach Phil Johnson, just to name a few. We werent on the list to attend the unveiling ceremony but we still got in. It was cool just walking around right next to Deron Williams and Jerry Sloan. DWill wasnt very nice and just stayed on his phone the whole time to avoid people but Jerry Sloan was very personable. After the unveiling ceremony Ronnie started taking pictures and signing autographs. We made our way up to him and immediately his wife saw Scotts jersey and said where did you get that, I want one. Ronnie said I remember him from the Jazz game. Ronnie was very nice, very down to earth and made time for everyone. Scott decided not to get his jersey signed but I dont know if he regrets it or not. We got a picture and a poster signed.


Later we found out we were on KSL Channel 5 news in the background when he was signing autographs. We went to the UV basketball game where they were honoring Ronnie at half time. All the Jazz players just sat a few rows down from us on the court. Everyone around us was freaking out about them. It was great for Scott to participate in that experience. He enjoyed every minute of it.
