Christmas, Pregnancy #2, and Lexi

Christmas was great this year. It was Lexi's first. Even though she is almost 1 she still really didnt have a clue about what was going on. After she opened her first present she wasnt to interested in the other gifts and just wanted to play with her new baby doll. It was great to be able to video chat with my parents while Lexi opened her gifts so they could see and participate in her first Christmas. We also went over to Scotts parents house Christmas morning and had breakfast and opened more gifts. I just want to thank both of our families for all the great and generous gifts that were given. Next year we plan on making the flight to Florida with 2 kids for Christmas.

Well I am 18 weeks pregnant today and I cant believe how fast it has gone by. I have decided that I look pregnant now. My belly kinda popped out of no where. It is so different from the first pregnancy in the way that I know what to expect. Having another kid already makes this pregnancy fly as well. I honestly dont even think about myself being pregnant I just think about taking care of Lexi and the baby in my belly is a side note. I hope that makes sense. It only effects me in the middle of the night with the several trips to the bathroom. I have been over the morning sickness for about 5 weeks now. I could not be happier about that. There is nothing worse then feeling sick but having to take care of another human being at the same time who depends on you every minute was hard work. I finally feel normal again except my mid section getting larger. I have started feeling the baby kick a little so that is always exciting. Scott and I have been throwing around some names for the new little girl but still havent come to a decision and we probably wont for awhile.

Lexi is in rare form these days. She is constantly on the move. She is trying so hard to walk. She will stand up by herself without help and take a few steps but then falls down and will take a few steps between the furniture. She has been eating real food now for almost 2 months. I was terrified at first to take on this next step but it hasnt been to bad. I have a food grinder that grinds up all the food to the consistency of baby food so she loves it. She is sipping out of straws and really wants to feed herself. She still only has 2 teeth on the bottom but I hope and pray the change in her lately means she is getting her top teeth. She has been extra irritable, clingy, whiny, and just plain hard. She has really been biting hard on her fingers and things so I am pretty sure she is teething. I usually put some baby Orajel on her gums and that usually helps her feel better. I am grateful she is still an awesome sleeper. She goes to bed around 8:30 and gets up between 7-7:45. Church has gotten pretty hard as well. If we dont get there early enough to get a pew forget about being able to pay attention. Next week will be our first time going to church at 9am in a long time. So this should be interesting. With the holidays Scott was home for 6 days straight so now that he has been going back to work Lexi really misses him. She just says Da, Da all the time.

We are excited to go to Florida in a week and a half and see my family. Its been about 4 months since we have seen them and that they have seen Lexi. This will also be the first time my entire family all the siblings will be together. Sorry Cody but we have to kick you out of your room. Well I will post of pics of my belly soon otherwise enjoy this long run on.
